Morning: Arrive at Srinagar Airport, where you’ll be picked up and transferred to Sonamarg (approx. 80 km, 2-3 hours).Afternoon: Check into your campsite or guesthouse and rest.Evening: Briefing session about the trek, equipment check, and acclimatization walk around Sonamarg.Overnight: Campsite in Sonamarg (altitude: 7,800 ft)
Trek Start: After breakfast, start the trek from Sonamarg through lush green meadows, dense forests of Maple, Pine, and Silver Birch, and alongside the Sindh River.Highlights: Pass through Shekdur, a small meadow lined with silver birch trees.Evening: Arrive at the campsite in Nichnai.Overnight: Campsite at Nichnai (altitude: 11,500 ft)
Morning: Begin your trek by ascending to the Nichnai Pass (13,500 ft), where you’ll get sweeping views of the surrounding mountains.Afternoon: Descend to the lush meadows of Vishansar Valley and continue towards Vishansar Lake.Highlights: Spectacular views of Vishansar Lake, surrounded by rugged peaks.Overnight: Campsite near Vishansar Lake (altitude: 12,000 ft)
Morning: Trek past Krishansar Lake and ascend towards Gadsar Pass (13,750 ft), the highest point on the trek.Highlights: Marvel at panoramic views of Vishansar and Krishansar Lakes from the pass and descend towards the beautiful Gadsar Lake.Evening: Arrive at the Gadsar campsite.Overnight: Campsite near Gadsar Lake (altitude: 12,000 ft)
Morning: Begin a moderate ascent through wildflower meadows, boulder-strewn paths, and pristine landscapes.Highlights: Reach Satsar Lakes, a collection of small interconnected lakes in a beautiful meadow.Evening: Camp near one of the Satsar Lakes.Overnight: Campsite near Satsar Lakes (altitude: 12,000 ft)
Morning: Cross rocky terrains, followed by a steep ascent to Zaj Pass (13,400 ft).Highlights: Witness stunning views of Gangbal and Nundkol Lakes, with Mt. Harmukh looming in the background.Evening: Descend to the Gangbal campsite beside the twin lakes.Overnight: Campsite near Gangbal Lake (altitude: 11,500 ft)
Morning: Start the final leg of the trek, a long descent to Naranag, passing through pine forests and lush valleys.Afternoon: Reach Naranag, where you’ll be picked up and driven back to Srinagar (approx. 2-3 hours).Evening: Arrive in Srinagar for departure or check-in at a hotel if staying overnight.
